Reception Counting and Patterns

The Reception children used pegs to make pattern around a lid. They counted how many pegs they had used. The patterns were very colourful. Some of the lids had no space for any more pegs. Well done Receptions!

We Think Mice are Rather Nice!

Mice

Their tails are long

Their faces small

They haven’t any chins at all

Their ears are pink

Their teeth are white

They run about the house at night

They nibble things

They shouldn’t touch

And no-one seems to like them much

But I think mice are rather nice,

Don’t you?

Today our new Receptions came for a visit. We read the poem about mice.

The Receptions made these cute mice.

Aren’t they nice?

Do you think mice are nice?

m is for monkey

What cute monkeys! Saxon, Hudson, Henry and Oscar made these monkey masks today.

This week we are learning about the m sound and have been thinking of lots of things that start with m.

We thought of monkey, moon, mouse, marbles, mushrooms, mop, money, medal, magnet and milk.

Can you think of some more words that begin with a m sound?
